VW Dreams is made up of two parts. Dave Unser (owner) and Corey Hamburg. “Greasy” Dave Unser has been a dedicated daily driver of Air Cooled VW’s for the past 17 years, the last 7 of which he has worked as a strictly VW mechanic. Whether it’s a simple tune up or a full “pan off” restoration, Dave can do it all. The Commitment to his passion is undeniable, and it shows in his work. Friendly, fair and quality craftsmanship are the trademarks that have gotten Dave where he is. Dave is well known in the Jacksonville VW community. His dedication to the local scene is exemplified in his constant effort to help. Whether it’s running a local VW club or lending his expertise to a stranded Vee Dubber (usually me), his passion runs deep.
Corey is also a VW lifer. When your first car is a VW and you drive the same one over 15 years later, you know you have the “bug”, well that’s Corey. Don’t think for a second that he’s had the same paint job on it for that long or that he would let anyone else do the work. After 4 years of working on his own cars Corey decided to get paid to refine his paint and body chops. After 11 years in other professional shops Corey has come to VW Dreams to offer his services to you and do what he does best. Making your pride and Joy look as good as it does in all those dreams!
Together, they can do it all and with a combined experience of 32 years not only can they do it, they do it well. They are not the big “name brand” VW shop that you will see in the magazines.
